An Award Certificate for the Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze to SS-Grenadier Albert Snijder. As you can see on the document, he was a member of the III Battalion./Grenadier Regiment 'Landstorm Nederland' which was under command of the 9th SS-Panzer Division 'Hohenstaufen'. The Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze was awarded to infantrymen that were in motorised units for completing three assaults over three seperate days using hand weapons. It is most likely that this soldier qualified for the award in the Betuwe area south of the Rhine Bridge during the period 22nd - 30th September 1944.
