(Defending Arnhem Collection)
This is the Wehrpass of Gefreiter Friedrich Nordsick. The majority of his career was spent in the Netherlands. After basic training he served Nov.40 - Mar.41 with a Fliegerhorst Kompanie based in the Netherlands. Mar.41 - Feb.45 he served with the Hilversum local Luftwaffe Command and his unit was sent to Arnhem in September 1944. After the battle he was involved in security and anti-resistance tasks. Feb.45 he was transferred to another Fliegerhorst Unit based in Germany.
