(Defending Arnhem Collection)

This is the Wehrpass of Richard Bauer who was a member of the Luftwaffe. The Wehrpass was always stored with the administration section of his unit. He had a very interesting career and seemed to get through the war without being wounded. I have included a number of his pages from his Wehrpass (scroll down for more pages ).

Pages 2 & 3 - His personal details and idenitification photo.

Page 11 - Outlines his enlistment details; his first unit was the 1st Company, Luftwaffe Training Regiment 33.

Page 12 & 13 - Lists all the units Richard Bauer was posted to with corresponding dates during the war.

Page 20 & 21 - Left are his Weapons qualifications and on the right are his training courses (Under-officer training in this case).

Page 22 - His promotion record finishing as an Under-Officer; Page 23 - lists his only award KVK II with swords.

Page 32 & 33 - It is a list of his career during the war. There are some interesting entries such as supporting Operations against France and England, Cholm pocket, Charkow, Kaukasus on the Eastern Front as well as operations against Air-landed troops at Arnhem.
